A team of whiskey doers, bringing a new brand of spirit to Minnesota. Although we’ve been at it behind the scenes for sometime, we’re ready to bring our Avon Rye into the sunshine for anyone to enjoy. And we hope you will. Please follow along to see where this road leads.

RYE
Stearns American, Avon Rye, is our flagship whiskey! The mash bill is 95% Rye, 5% Barley and is 95 proof. Our first offering is rested in American White Oak and finished with charred Pimento wood to add a new dimension to the spice of the grain. Avon Rye has a subtle floral aroma with a hint of vanilla and black cherry. The experience is slightly sweet and mellow with notes of leather, clove, old oak and cinnamon with a long peppery finish.

FOR THE FREE SPIRIT
STEARNS AMERICAN stands with free spirited people who live life on their own terms. Like the people of central Minnesota who were responsible for the infamous and legendary Whiskeys of the 1920's and 30's, prohibition era. They were crafted by farmers in barns and cellars across the rural communities to help weather the economic hardships of the times. The call for "free kittens" on the radio alerted the community to get the next batch of whiskey ready for market.

Our Avon Rye, as well as other products in development are made in collaboration with our local partners. It provides us an avenue to bring our products to you, while building a bridge to our home in Stearns County, MN. Our Avon, Minnesota production facility is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023.
